Metal Gear Survive Review

Metal Gear Survive Review
Dud Zombie - 2.4 / 5
Metal Gear Survive replaces stealth with survival in what is the first Metal Gear game without the involvement of director Hideo Kojima.
Although Survive is the first entry in the Metal Gear series without Kojima’s influence, it isn’t the first spin-off. Released only five years ago on the PS3, XBox 360 and PC; Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance took the Metal Gear series in a completely different direction.
Replacing stealth with hack and slash action mayhem, surprisingly, Rising worked. The reason for this was due to Kojima Productions enlisting the help of developers Platinum Games who are most famous for their 2013 hit, Vanquish.

PES 2018 Review

PES 2018 Review
The best in the series to date - 4.6 / 5
The Pro Evolution Soccer series deserves a lot of credit. Standing toe-to-toe with EA’s behemoth FIFA franchise is no small feat, and yet, each year, Konami manages to deliver a football simulation that may not rival its competitor in sales figures but certainly gives it a run for its money on the pitch.
Ultimately, it doesn’t take long to notice that PES 2018 is an improvement over its predecessor. While Konami hasn't torn the mechanics of last year’s effort to shreds; subtle enhancements to AI etiquette and faster, more responsive controls, makes PES 2018 a cracking football game.

PES 2017 Review

PES 2017 Review
Game on - 4.5 / 5
The time of the year is finally upon us where the two annual football sims go head-to-head in a battle to the death to decide who’s king of the virtual pitch.
I’ve played both PES and FIFA for around twenty years. My first FIFA game was back in ’94, and I stuck with it until FIFA 99. I then switched to PES and kept with it all the way up to 2012, after which, I went back to FIFA. On balance, I’ve always tried to give both games a fair go, and in my opinion, since 2012, FIFA has been the best option. This year, I’m pleased to review both games and share my thoughts on each.
At the time of this review being written, I haven’t played a single minute of FIFA 17, but after spending time with PES 2017, it’s clear that PES means business. Overall, PES 2017 is an absolute joy to play. Movement is fluid, Passing is sleek, and the AI is intelligent. It’s rewarding, intriguing, and exhilarating. Quite simply, the beautiful game has never been more beautiful.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance PS3 Review

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance PS3 Review
Raiden has changed slightly... Metal Gear Rising PS3 review
It’s Metal Gear. But not as we know it.
The ninth entry in the Metal Gear saga Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, sees stealth, sneaking, and strategic gameplay replaced by lightning quick, hack and slash, blade swinging action mayhem. And the best thing about this new style of Metal Gear is that it works. It works very well.
The Metal Gear franchise now in its 26th year, starting way back in 1987 with the self-titled Metal Gear for the MSX2. Hideo Kojima’s stealth action-adventure franchise has amassed an impressive $45 million in sales worldwide, won numerous awards and received universal critical acclaim. Much of the Metal Gear series focuses on main protagonist Solid Snake, as he carefully sneaks his way through each adrenaline-fueled adventure. In the latest MGS instalment, you play the cyborg ninja Raiden who first appeared in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty on the PlayStation 2.
